Dunsin Oyekan was born on November 5, 1984, in Ilorin, Nigeria. He is the only son of the Gbadebo Oyekan family and attended Airforce Nursery and Primary School in Ilorin.

He continued his secondary education at the Federal Government College in Ilorin before transferring to the Baptist Model High School in Ilorin.

Dunsin then went on to study industrial chemistry at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. He was married to Adedoyin Oyekan and had two children before her passing in 2019.

Dunsin Oyekan is a gospel singer, songwriter, producer, instrumentalist, and recording artist, popularly known as “The Eagle.”

He is the artist behind the popular gospel song, “Open Up,” and the convener of the Code Red Worship Experience.

Dunsin’s father, who loved music and songwriting, encouraged him to learn the guitar at the young age of 10, which ultimately led to his successful music career.

He has since released over thirty songs, including the hit “Na You” featuring Kim Burrell, and has ministered with notable musicians including Tasha Cobbs, Kurt Carr, and Kim Burrell.
