Michael Babatunde Adeyinka, better known as DJ Tunez, is a Nigerian and US-based disc jockey. He was born on May 10th, 1989, in the United States, to Nigerian parents. He grew up in the USA, where he received his education.

Tunez started his career as a DJ by playing at Christmas gatherings in his local church as a teenager. He then began performing at paid gigs, such as weddings and birthday celebrations.

He gained attention from the African population in South Brooklyn for his ability to perform music with afrobeat and dancehall-inspired ambiance, which led him to organize parties around the city.

In 2007, after mixing teen hits with African classics for two years, Tunez started DJing formally in the US when his father requested that he choose the music for their church’s Christmas party. Tunez gained his initial break outside the Nigerian music industry from Caribbean DJs in New York.

He continued to gain popularity within the Nigerian community, where his mother acted as his manager. DJ Tunez seamlessly blends different countries’ sounds while taking his fans on a journey from start to finish.

He has collaborated with top-class musicians like Wizkid, Sarz, Burna Boy, Busiswa, Reekado Banks, Damibliz, Omah Lay, and many others. In 2015, he joined Starboy Entertainment as the official label DJ.
